Robert Turley is an activist, musician, author, historian, art and antiquities expert, and father of two teenagers. He has prevailed in legal actions against Rudolph Giuliani and the NYPD. He co-led the effort to move the Malcolm X house in his hometown from the City of Inkster’s demolition list to the National Register of Historic Places. 

Robert is the first to research the history of Malcolm X in Inkster, Michigan. He conducts historical tours in his hometown sharing original research revealing its place at the center of American history and at the heart and hub of Black history.

Robert is a bass player who has received international critical acclaim in Bass Player Magazine, Guitar Player Magazine, Bass Magazine (Japan), Guitar Magazine, Guitar World. 

Robert is an art and antiquities expert who wrote textbook chapters for McGraw-Hill. He is president and founder of the Korean Art Society and publisher and editor of the Korean Art Society Journal. He is a recipient of the Global Korea Award from the Council on Korean Studies at Michigan State University. 

Robert’s activism and activities have received international media coverage, including a featured guest appearance on Donahue, full-page and front-page articles in the New York Law Journal and the New York Times, and he was the subject of documentaries on Korean television broadcaster, KBS, and Japanese television broadcaster, NHK. Robert is featured in a documentary he is co-producing with Kevin Hart’s director, Leslie Small, and multiple-Emmy-winning screenwriter Marcia McKenna (scheduled 2025 release).
